Opening links in new browser tabs

We've deliberately designed Stantia not to open links in new browser tabs as it can get very confusing having lots of tabs open.

However, sometimes opening a link in a new tab can be useful. For example, if you've searched for a boat or contact and have moved to page 2 of the search results. After you've viewed/edited an item, clicking your browser's back button or clicking Boats or Contacts in the left menu will take you back to the first page and clear your search parameters.

We're working on improving that. However, in the meantime, you can open the item from the search results in a new browser tab. That way, when you've finished viewing/editing that item, you can simply close that tab, and the tab with your search results will still be there, keeping your place.

Here's how to open a link in a new browser tab:

  1. Right-click the link (or long press if you're on a touch device).

  2. In the popup menu, select "Open link in new tab" (each web browser has slightly different wording).
